ABOUT
Welcome to the Compassion for Teen Life website.
Compassion For Teen Life (CFTL) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) health-licensed entity, building 21st century leaders who will impact neighborhoods in the US and around the world. CFTL provides children and youth, ages 6-22 with supportive services for healthy lifestyles.
CFTL is based on the simple idea of collaboration with local health organizations and pharmaceutical companies to implement “Healthy Lifestyle” seminars and services. Our topics cover a full range of health issues including: HIV/AIDS awareness for the teen population and Addressing Obesity starting with elementary age children.
Every community has resources to help youth achieve the dream of living a happy and full life. CFTL helps fulfill those dreams.
In addition to our local health initiatives, CFTL offers support in underserved communities abroad. In 2000 CFTL constructed a fully-functioning computer lab in Clarendon, Jamaica and provided $100,000 of donations toward helping the underserved including giving away hundreds of toys through a toy-drive launch. A scholarship was established at one of the most prestigious universities in the Caribbean, in honor of educator, Dr. Ionie “Gem” McPherson.
